TELE-LAW

“Tele-Law” refers to a legal initiative in India aimed at providing legal aid and assistance to marginalized and rural populations using technology. The initiative was launched as part of the Access to Justice project under the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Under the Tele-Law initiative, Common Service Centers (CSCs) were established at the village level, where individuals could seek legal advice and consultation through video conferencing with empaneled lawyers. This program aimed to bridge the gap between citizens and legal services, especially in areas where physical access to legal assistance was limited.
